ENA Textile Plant to Open in Ozurgeti in 6 Month to Employ about 1000 Citizens

ENA Textile Turkish company is interested in constructing a clothing factory of the world’s famous brand of Zara in Ozurgeti, Guria Region. ENA Textile will invest several millions of USD in Ozurgeti.

The plant will employ about 1000 local residents and will operate on a 2-3 hectare land plot. Spanish and Turkish parties have already reached agreement. The Turkish company representatives will visit Georgia on January 16 to sign due agreements, the Guria Governor noted.

“The plant will be constructed in the city of Ozurgeti, on territory of the former experimental tea factory. The plant will be built in 5-6 months.

In several days after parliamentary elections, ENA Textile representatives arrived in Georgia. This Turkish company is a major manufacturer of ZARA products in Turkey. They asked us to introduce all legislative norms on taxation system, customs procedures, electricity, natural gas and water tariffs. They also asked whether there is a college for training due staff. We have satisfied all these demands. We have showed them a college equipped with modern technologies. They have explored all these conditions, discussed them on supervisory board meetings and took the mentioned decision”, the Guria Governor noted.
