A new terminal will be constructed at Tbilisi International Airport which will cover 12 000 square meters. It will have two new boarding bridges and two exits as well as five new airport aprons for F code airplanes and parking lot for 250 cars.

A new terminal for flight arrivals is being built by TAV Georgia which spends 33 million USD for the project. There are 500 people employed in the construction works. It is planned that it will be completed in September 2017; however construction might be finished earlier in June, 2017.

“The amount of tourists is increasing in the country. The airport service is very important. Therefore, it has become necessary to add new terminal which is implemented on 12 000 square meters territory. We will offer our guest much better quality service”- declared Giorgi Gakharia to Businesscontract.

After the new terminal construction is finished, the airport will have 5 boarding bridges and 6 bus gates. Both terminals of the aiport will receive 3.500 000 passengers each year.
