According to the survey of European Chamber, Georgia is ranked on the 20^th place for The Best European Countries To Start A Business.

The rating of Georgia has improved by 4 positions in 2017 compared with 2016, the rating assessment has been increased from 64.7 to 68.6.

By this assessment Georgia exceeds such European countries as Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Hungary Greece and others. It is also noteworthy that according to the rating, Georgia is significantly ahead of countries such as Belarus, Turkey, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Azerbaijan and Ukraine.

In the framework of the European Chamber’s survey, business doing was evaluated in the 46 European countries, which is based on the World Bank business doing and Transparency International Corruption Perception Index. The European Chamber survey is based on the World Bank Business Doing and Transparency International Corruption Perception Index and measures the business context, legislation, economic policy, social climate and business regulations.

“Within the framework of the 4-point plan, the government continues to work on further improvement of the Georgian business and investment environment, which will facilitate further development of the private sector and will eventually accelerate the country’s economic growth,” – the Economy Ministry said.
