Investor to Put 50 million GEL in Tourism Zone Construction Near Enguri HPP

Government of Georgia plans to organize a tourism zone near Enguri HPP cascade.

The project calls for constructing ropeway, science and discovery centers, open conference halls, playgrounds, natal infrastructure, the world’s highest elevator (280 meter) and several amusements with extremal components.

Several other installation-imaginative events will be also held in the tourism zone.
About 200 local residents will be employed in tourism zone construction-infrastructural arrangement process. The number of workers will rise to 300 ones after completion of infrastructural projects. 

According to preliminary estimations, Enguri tourism zone will serve about 400 000 tourists a year. 

The project’s investment value is 50 million GEL. Negotiations are underway with investors for mobilizing the mentioned sun. It should be noted that Government of Georgia conferred the status of national monument to Enguri HPP on September 4. 2015.
