In August, Georgia received 1,080,449 international travelers, which is 232,068 more than in the same period of the previous year (growth + 27.4%).

By the end of August, the number of international travelers, who exceeded 24 hours and more, reached 573,368 in Georgia, which is 122,721 more than the growth rate of August 2016 (growth + 27.2%).

More than 5 million international travelers visited Georgia in 8 months period.

In January-August, the largest number of visits was from Azerbaijan (+ 10.4%), Armenia (+ 16.8%), Russia (+ 33.9%), Turkey (-6,6%) and Iran (+ 141.9%). The positive trend is maintained in the direction of the EU countries, from January to August in the direction of increase of arrivals in Georgia: Netherlands + 38%, Germany + 32%, United Kingdom + 31% and France + 29%.

Saudi Arabia has a significant growth of 196%, Kuwait + 178%, Iran + 142% and India + 99%
