Investment Agency Denies Failure of Tourism Zones Project "In total three hotels are functioning and three are under construction"

The Georgian National Investment Agency (GNIA) doesn’t consider the functioning of the tourism zones unsuccessful. The head of the agency explains radio "Commersant" that there was nothing in Anaklia at the time of creation of the tourist zone, however, in total three hotels are operating in the zone and three are under construction.

In her words, parks and aqua parks are being built there and when investors see a strong infrastructure, their interest increases. According to Keti Bochorishvili, they hope to see new investors and hold presentations of new projects in the tourism zones by the end of the year.

Note: The government offers tax incentives for investors operating in the tourist zones. Such zones are operating in Anaklia and Kobuleti.
