Businessman Lasha Papashvili will open a 4 -star hotel in the building of the former Muza hotel near Tbilisi Concert Hall, on Kostava Street. According to the businessman, the 32-room boutique hotel Muza will receive the first guest at the end of 2019.
In Papashvili’s words, demolition works of the part of the building are currently underway, after which the construction process will begin. "This is a monument of cultural heritage, so part of the building will, be demolished, and the exterior facade will be preserved," Papashvili explains.
A total of GEL 7-8 million will be spent on rehabilitation and construction of the hotel Muza.
Commersant was told at Tbilisi City Hall that the reconstruction-adaptation project on the immovable monument was agreed and the permit certificate was issued on 16 March 2009. The term of the permit was extended several times (until February 2019).
Papuashvili explains that problems with red lines with Tbilisi City Hall delayed the launch of the construction.
