"Accor Group will enter into the management of the 5-star leisure complex worth $ 200 million in Kobuleti and  will bring the Sofitel hotel brand in Georgia for  the first time," Vano Lomidze, executive director of Crystal Building involved in the project,  told Commersant.

According to Vano Lomidze, the construction of the hotel will be completed by 2021.

“The hotel was planned to  be transferred under management of the Radisson network, but Accor Group offered more attractive conditions. Apart from that, the brand managing the casino at the hotel will be also changed – earlier  it was planned to transfer the casino under  the Las Vegas management , but as the hotel manager is changed, the casino management will go under  Sofitel.

A complex located on the area of 40 000m2 will include  a 5-star hotel and entertainment complex. The hotel will have 220 rooms, conference rooms for at least 300 people, several rooms for meetings, two or more restaurants, sports-recreational and spa centers, open and indoor pools. The complex will also have  casino.

The hotel is built by the Hungarian company Cash, foreign investors are also involved in the project.

The founders of Crystal Building are Georgian, Azerbaijani and American investors.

The French Accor Group  It includes luxury brands such as Raffles , Fairmont, Sofitel , Novotel  and Pullman .. The Group owns several hotels in Georgia, including a 4-star Mercury Hotel, which opened in Tbilisi in 2015.
