Only up to twenty 3 - star hotels are functioning in Georgia, which are fully compliant with international standards. The “Global Star" founder David Sujashvili states.

In his words, demand for the hotels of this segment is growing in Georgia, rate of opening of 2-3 - star hotels doesn’t correspond to the growing demand. Sujashvili notes that this year only several such hotels appeared on the market, including five in the region of Kakheti. This is in the light when more than 70% of demand falls on the hotels of this type. "Today, not only in Georgia but throughout the world the middle class exceeds rich class and, correspondingly, the demand for 2 and 3 - star hotels is higher," - said David Sujashvili.

Note: In some regions of Georgia, including Tsinandali and Borjomi, 5 - star hotels construction is being carried out.
