A date of commencement of construction of Tbilisi new district is still unknown. “New Tbilisi” Fund states the radio "Commersant" that at this stage geological research is being conducted which involves the study of soil and rocks, they say, the next stage envisages zoning of the territory, followed by urban planning.

The fund announces that it is difficult to say how much time the rest stages prior to construction will take.

Please note: The initiative of the new district building belongs to Georgia’s President. The new district will be divided into 5 main zones, and the recreational area will occupy 35% of the territory, the dwelling houses will be built according to modern standards. The territory’s development will start not later than in 2013.
