From 13 projects designed by the Valencia architect in Poti only two have been launched. The first project to be completed is restaurant project. "Riverside" construction works have also commenced. Commersant.ge was told by the Mayor of Poti Vakhtang Lemonjava.

In addition, in the frames of “The new Poti project", construction of three bridges which is implemented by Valencia architectural “CMC-Group" is also scheduled.

"CMC Group" action plan also includes the forest - park rehabilitation and coastal settings which will follow the river Rioni and go to the sea.

As Lemonjava explains commersant.ge the new station will soon be opened in Poti, however, Poti Mayor predicted railway opening by as early as last October.

Along with that, the Mayor notes, repair works in tourism information center in the marine city have already begun. Prior to this, the first stage of metallurgical plant construction ends in Poti. According to Poti Mayor, the construction work is carried out by Dubai business group, which is composed of Indian businessmen. Investors initially invested 12 million USD, while in the second and third stage of the work they plan to invest 35-35 million.

Note: President Mikheil Saakashvili stated that in terms of airports, Georgia will be one of the most developed countries and the airport construction is planned in Guria and Poti.

The largest in the South Caucasus Poti airport project will be completed by Arabic “Rakeen” in 2014. The cost of investment is $ 45 million.
