Facing works of “Kempinski Hotel Batumi” are in progress.

The hotel will be opened in late 2013, this time facing works of the façade are being carried out.

Commersant.ge was told by GIMG managing director Teimuraz Gamtsemlidze, next week, construction works will be expanded. Apart from facades, works are being conducted in the residential block. The hotel will be meant for different income segments and prices will be defined according to the services package.

How much demand is for high-class hotels in Batumi? GIMG Director General explains that a number of expert groups worked on this issue in Batumi and their response was positive.

Note: “Kempinski Hotel Batumi” will be one of the largest buildings in the Black Sea basin countries. Its area will make ​​98 thousand square meters and the complex is located in the central part of Batumi Boulevard on the area of 4 hectares. However, the biggest entertainment zone inside the hotel is planned to be created where a sport complex and a swimming pool will be located.

In addition, an open hall of 3 thousand square meters with exotic greenery will be located in the hotel, in total 253 rooms of different categories will work in the hotel while the management will be carried out by a well-known brand – Kempinski Group.

Note: The GIMG company is a local development company, but its founder and a 100 - percent share’s owner is an Austrian company “ GAB-Resorts Croup”. At the same time, it is the “Kempinski Hotel Batumi” project’s investor.

The GIMG company has already made 33 million USD of direct investments in the “Kempinski Hotel Batumi” project, however, it is expected the amount will be tripled before the hotel goes into operation.
