"McDonald's" Restaurant to Open in Batumi in October

McDonald's" will open a new, sixth restaurant in Batumi in October. Temur Chkonia, the owner of “Coca - Cola Bottlers Georgia”, McDonald's network and “Georgia Palace Hotel” hotel in Kobuleti plans to increase the number of "McDonald's" restaurants to 14 in 2012. Apart from Tbilisi and Batumi, the businessman wants to open “McDonald's” restaurants in Rustavi, Telavi and other cities.

Chkonia notes he has invested over 3.4 million in the newly opened McDonald's restaurant located on Tsereteli Avenue, as well as in others. According to him, he plans other businesses expansion with the assistance of “Bank of Georgia”.

"It is not easy to search funding for such projects in Georgia. “Bank of Georgia” is an exception among those who fund several million dollar projects. Our turnover in the bank makes 240 million USD "- Chkonia says. He adds that he has been cooperating with “Bank of Georgia” over 10 years.
