Government to Advertise Small-format Hotels

The Georgian government will adversities small-format hotels. Georgian Prime Minister Ivane Merabishvili voiced the initiative in the village of Nahgvarevi when visiting Aragvi hotel.

The Government will make focus on advertising small-sized hotels and the government has disbursed required finances, Merabishvili noted.

A special website will be created in near future, where both major and small sized hotels will be indicated, as well as guesthouses to enable tourists to book suites by the internet.

Aragvi hotel is situated between Gudauri and Pasanauri, the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region.

The visa-free regime with the Russian Federation has increased the inflow of Russian tourists to the Dusheti and Kazbegi Districts, Merabishvili noted.

"The Kobi-Gudauri motorway rehabilitation will be completed in April 2013 and the number of tourists will further increase and new job places will be created for local residents" The prime minister said.
