Government of Ajara reported that construction of 2 new hotels was launched in Batumi, expected to complete within 2 years. “Cube Tower” will be built through Azeri investments, amounting to $30 million. 180-room hotel will operate under brand of “Swissotel” chain. Construction of another hotel is undertook by Turkish investors – “Metin Arip Agaoglu” and “Erol Avgoren”, partners of “Mersin Tourism”. In case of this 270-room hotel, no volume of expected investments was named.
