A prominent businessman Lasha Papashvili will build "Hilton Garden Inn» brand hotel on Chavchavadze Avenue instead of "Novotel". Papashvili received funding for the construction from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) at the end of November and will sign an agreement with the bank in the near future.

Initially, the businessman carried on talks with "Novotel" brand included in "Accor" group, however, then Papashvili announced about complicated talks and didn’t exclude the change of the operator. EBRD will allocate 18 million for the construction of the hotel under "Hilton" brand while the co-sponsors will be Lasha Papashvili and "Georgian Real Estate Holding".

The hotel will be of the middle class and will serve business travelers as well as tourists.
