In total 100 million GEL will be invested in the economy of Zugdidi, at this point a work on this issue is underway. Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on Sector Economy Paata Kvizhinadze states commersant.ge that this issue has not been submitted to Parliament for consideration yet, but a work is in progress and at the first stage it will be defined who will manage the funds – the local self-government or a separate structure that will be created in future.

A reminder: "Georgian Dream" leader Bidzina Ivanishvili said at the September 22 rally in Zugdidi that in total 100 million would be invested in the economy of Zugdidi in the near future to enable small and medium businesses creation.

Bidzina Ivanishvili said that the International Medical Center and School would be established in Zugdidi where study and treatment will be free for the local population will as well as for anyone residing on the territory of Abkhazia.
