Georgia Ranked 57th in Global Energy Architecture Performance Index 2013

Georgia is ranked 57thamong 105 countries in the World Economic Forum’s newly-launchedGlobal Energy Architecture Performance Index 2013(EAPI), which aims to assess energy systems according to how they help deliver economic growth, their environmental sustainability and the way they ensure security of supply and access for all.

EAPI comprises 16 indicators aggregated into three baskets relating to the three imperatives – contribution to growth, environmental sustainability and ensuring supply security and access to all.

Mainly European countries were included in the top five. Among the top three are Norway, Sweden and France. Switzerland and New Zealand are not far behind the latter.

The second top five includes Colombia, Latvia, Denmark, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Russia is ranked 27th, in Poland 37th, the USA- 55thwhile Ukraine is ranked 75th.
