Tourism Association refutes suspension of tourism development in the country.

Recall, a founder of 3-star hotel chain management company "GeoHotel" talks about the lack of tourists in Gudauri resort and says that Mestia as a winter tourism destination no longer exists and they are going to stop a hotel functioning in Mestia.

However, Tourism Association Director states "Commersant" that every company has an individual view with regard to the current situation.

According to Nata Kvachantiradze, companies host tourist groups as usually and talk about a passive period are excessive. In her words, a winter season was busy in the resorts. Director of the Association claims that relatively slow activity after the election was natural, however, from the beginning of the year the situation has been stabilizing. Kvachantiradze names political stability as an important factor for tourism.
