"Air Caucasus" airline owned by Giorgi Kodua and Tbilisi operator company "TAV Georgia" have signed Memorandum, as a result, "Air Caucasus" won the right for flights.

"Air Caucasus" representative Giorgi Kodua explains сommersant.ge that a Memorandum was signed between the parties and an official contract with further details will be concluded in the coming days.

As for the flights, flights will be performed in Yerevan, Baku, Russia, Turkey directions.

Kodua notes that a pricing policy they plan to offer to a user will be the advantage of the company. In particular, one way flight to Yerevan will cost less than 50 USD. The company also plans to offer a low price in the direction of Istanbul and in this case will compete with "Turkish Airlines" which, in Kodua’s estimation, offers a relatively high price.

“We have long-term plans, we want Georgia to become the Caucasian hub and we will perform longer, including 5 – hour, flights, "- Kodua says. In his words, due to low tariffs, they will compete with road transport as well.

He adds that the pricing policy will be reviewed only after the passengers flow increases and customers from other regions are attracted.
