Agricultural lands have not been destroyed as a result of the disaster. Commersant.ge was told at the Ministry of Agriculture. They explain that they have not received any information regarding the lands’ damaging.

Note: The disaster has damaged most of all Ajara and Guria regions.

The Chairman of Batumi City Council Irakli Chavleishvili notes that this kind of flood has not been observed on the eastern coast of the Black Sea in the last eight years.

Rescue and emergency service representatives are working in the disaster zone. As well as the coast protection works are being carried out.
