Visitors Activity Increased in Tusheti Compared to Last Year

The hotels located in Tusheti [a historic region in northeast Georgia]and interviewed by the radio “Commersant” meet a season with an increased flow of visitors.

An owner of “TLT Omalo'' hotel says that 80% of the rooms are now fully operational. In his words, the number of Russian tourists has especially increased , but “Omalo” hosts Polish, Iranian and Ukrainian tourists as well. As for the prices, a room including 3 meals costs 50 GEL in “TLT Omalo” hotel while without meals - 30 GEL. “Tusheti” hotel owners also speak about the increased number of visitors.

Managementsays thatthe number oftouristsincreased by 20% compared to last yearandtouristsfromthe Baltic States areparticularly active. A single room with two meals costs 60 GEL in thehotelandwithoutmealsa price makes25GEL.
