EBRD about the Necessity of Developing Middle-class Hotels in Georgia

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development [EBRD] talks about the need for development of middle-class hotels market in Georgia.

According to the EBRD Director for the Caucasus , Moldova and Belarus, the country should develop a middle-class market , which will serve business travelers and middle-income tourists. Bruno Balvanera says that the development of this segment will bring investments which the country’s economy badly needs at this stage.

Note: A few days ago the EBRD signed a 18 million loan agreement with the Georgian businessman Lasha Papashvili that should be used for the construction of the middle class hotel " Hilton Garden Inn ".
