According to “Sakstat”,
construction works were completed through the first half of the year on 675
objects, totaling to 366,649 square m. Of total, biggest share (38.2%) had
residential construction. Next come trade objects (25%), trade-related
buildings and warehouses (7.1%), administrative buildings (4.6%), cafes and
restaurants (4.1%). Kvemo Kartli accounted for biggest share of completed
constructions – 23.8%. Next come Tbilisi (21%), Imereti (13.8%), Ajara (13%),
Kakheti (8.7%). Total number of construction permissions, issued in 6 months of
the year, made up 4,050. At that, 40% accounted for residential construction.
Tbilisi had the biggest share in issued permissions – 61.2%. Next come Kvemo
Kartli (10%), Ajara (8%), Imereti (6.7%), Kakheti (3.5%), Samegrelo – Zemo
Svaneti (3.4%), Mtskheta-Mtianeti (3.1%). In 2010, total number of issued
permissions made up 6,635, of which 43.5% accounted for residential
construction.
