A special commission of the Ministry of Finance will discuss a possible change of a tax regime for hotel business. According to the Head  of a hotel operator  ''HoReCa Georgia”, a meeting between hotel owners and representatives of the Ministry of Finance was held a month ago.  Shalva  Alaverdashvili says that there is no tax regime needed for the development of hotel business in the country because the introduction of a seasonal property tax system is essential for the development of the sector. In his words, the issue of health resorts is to be resolved, because services which are exempted from VAT are not specified in the law, so whether or not a fine will be imposed on  an object depends on the tax officer's decision. A composition of the commission and when it will start working, Alaverdashvili does not possess this information.
