First Wind Power Plant Construction to Start in Georgia in October

''Commersant” reports that Georgia's first wind power plant construction will start in October. “Commersant” was told at  the Georgian Energy Development Fund,  at this stage technical - economic justification of the wind power plant is being prepared. They say the documents will be ready in July, while construction is expected to start in October.

 

According to them, the specific details of the implementation of the project depends on  the results of the feasibility study and in a case of the successful preparation of documentation, the construction process will take 6-7 months. The estimated cost of the project totals 26 million euros. According to the Energy Development Fund, the installed tower showed that a wind power is enough for the construction of the power plant. Energy Minister announced about the construction of a 20 - megawatt wind power plant in the vicinity of Gori in February. According to the Minister, the project name will be " Kartli" .
