Ethnographic Museum will host a new wine festival on May 24.

A special jury has selected 40 participants wishing to participate in the festival. The festival organizer Malkhaz Kharbedia explains to "Commersant" that the participants will  arrive from almost the whole Georgia. According to him, almost all leading wine companies operating in Georgia will present their own products in the festival.

Kharbedia explains that the main criterion during the selection of the participants was that wine should be healthy. "One of our main goals is to eradicate the problem of sick domestic wines. Wines in many cases are sick," - the "Wine club" founder explains.

The participation of a new wine festival is free for family cellars while for leading companies a symbolic cost is imposed.

Malkhaz Kharbedia expects growth of festival guests and says that the Ethnographic Museum will be attended by 15-20 thousand people. Kharbedia  says that last year 15 thousand people visited the festival.

"The New Wine Festival" has been held for the fifth time this year.
