Investments in Adjara Increased by 42.2% in One Year

According to the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Adjara Autonomous Republic in total USD 53.2 million of direct private investment was registered in Adjara in the first quarter of 2014. This figure hasincreased by 42.2% compared to the first quarter of 2013.


43-43% of investments are made in construction and tourism, followed by energy - 7%, agriculture - 1%, industry 1%, and other sectors of the economy - 2%. 

According to “Sakstat”  preliminary data, a total of259.9 million in foreign direct investment were registered in Georgia in the first quarter that is  14.9% more compared to the same period of 2013.
