Within "Sheraton" hotel reconstruction project, thecompany "Rakia" plans to develop a territory adjacent to “Sheraton” hotel. 

According to  "Rakia Georgia" and "Rakeen Development" Director Guga Tsanava, it is planned to open a casino and several brand stores  in the area adjacent to  "Sheraton" but the company is negotiating on this issue and a final position not yet been formed.

As for the hotel, the exterior in the updated "Sheraton" is unknown although the company says that the design should be agreed with the Ministry of Culture    and the City Hall  because the hotel location has the cultural heritage status.

As Tsanava says, “Rakia” will spend  USD 25 – 30 million on the  reconstruction of “Sheraton Palace''. It is also known that it is planned to double the number of hotel rooms. In Tsanava’s words, this time the hotel includes 140 rooms, after the reconstruction their number will increase to 250. The hotel reconstruction will begin in the fall.
