The Mountain Resorts Development Company will spend GEL 3 million on the development of Bakuriani ski resort. 
 

According to Sandro Onoprishvili, the Mountain Resorts Development  Company plans to arrange  a new infrastructure in Bakuriani for  the winter season. 
 

Ropeways will be repaired , bike trails will be highlighted, children's park will be arranged as well as new ski slopes will be added. The reconstruction of a nonfunctioning funicular will be also carried out.

Onoprishvili says  electronic ticketing system will be introduced in Bakuriani and Gudauri and holidaymakers will be able to purchase tickets on the site and airports without standing in line.

The Mountain Resorts Development  Company expects a record number of tourists in winter resorts of Gudauri and Bakuriani. 

“Gudauri Development Agency”  was transformed into  the Mountain Resorts Development  Company last month.

The company's Director states  “Commersant” that Bakuriani has justified itself   as a summer resort and 10 thousand visitors have already arrived in the resort from July 13 to the present day.
