Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia says the government will find ways to fit the new trade terms in case Russia bans import of Georgian product on its territory, which is quite possible after Georgia and two other post-Soviet republics signed Association Agreement with the European Union last June.
Maia Panjikidze says the Georgian side did its best to improve and intensify trade-economic relations with Russia and the Abashidze-Karasin negotiations turned out quite successful in this direction.
`This is the success of the Abashidze-Karasin format. You know that Russian market was partly open for Georgian product. Of course, there is a possibility of a new embargo, which we experienced in 2006. If this happens again, of course, we`ll have to fit the new reality,` Panjikidze said.
