According to Sakstat preliminary data, in 9 monthsof 2014 a volume of investments has increased in comparison with the same period in 2013 by 29.2% and amounted to USD 924 million.
In the third quarter a total of USD 508 million were invested – that is a record figure for the last 6 years. A higher rate was achieved only in the 3rd quarter of 2008, specifically, USD 605 million.
China accounts for 29% of the total investment in the 3rd quarter, followed by Azerbaijan – USD 95 million, the Netherlands – USD 90 mln, Panama – USD 44 million, Malta – USD 34 million.
The largest sectors account for 69% of all investments - in particular, USD 181 million have been invested in construction, USD 109 million- in transport, USD 61 million - in real estate.
