Investments in Georgia Amounted to USD 924 Mln in 9 Months of 2014

According to Sakstat preliminary data, in 9 monthsof 2014 a volume of investments has increased in comparison with the same period in 2013 by 29.2% and amounted to USD  924 million.

 

In the third quarter  a total of  USD 508 million were  invested  that is a record figure for the last 6 years. A higher rate was achieved only in the 3rd quarter of 2008, specifically, USD  605 million. 
 

China accounts for  29% of the total investment in the 3rd quarter,  followed by Azerbaijan  USD 95 million, the Netherlands  USD 90 mln, Panama  USD 44 million, Malta  USD 34 million. 

The  largest sectors account for 69% of all investments - in particular USD 181 million have been invested in construction,  USD 109 million in transport, USD 61 million - in real estate.
