Georgian food and drinks are included in Europe's top five. The web site Thrillist publishes a list of 48 European countries where Georgia is ranked the fourth. The portal’s representatives traveled to 39 countries from 48 and tasted local dishes and drinks.
Italy occupies the first place in the list followed by the French and Spanish dishes.
Thrillist writes about Georgia that the country sits in the middle of the ancient spice route between Europe and the Middle East and Asia, so the country’s dishes are imbued with an incredibly rich and unique use of herbs & spices, like cilantro and dried marigold, that are used in combinations not seen in the other individual regions and are layered for bold, but balanced dishes.
The top ten includes Germany, Belgium, Croatia, Switzerland, Portugal and Hungary. The last places are occupied by Monaco, Andorra, Montenegro, the Faroe Islands and the Vatican.
