3.84% more tourists visited Adjara in January 2015 compared with the same period of 2014. According to the Department of Tourism, statistical data have been prepared on the basis of tourist accommodation establishments in the region.
The Department informs that the majority of tourists come from Belarus, Israel, Ukraine, Poland and Turkey.
To attract tourists, marketing activities are planned to be carried out in 2015 . It is known that the marketing activities include 9 target countries (Israel, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, Lithuania, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Armenia), in the framework of which, advertising campaigns and online marketing events will be held. Info tours will be also organized for journalists and tour operators invited from the target countries. In 2015, the tourism potential of Adjara will be promoted in 20 international tourism exhibitions.
