"Very soon, Gudauri and Bakuriani will become the European level resorts, " – Head  of  the  Georgian Mountain Resorts Development Company Alexander Onoprishvili states. According to him, this year the number of visitors in Gudauri increased by 40%, in Bakuriani – by  20 percent.

The Mountain Resorts Development Company chief also talks  about the artificial snowmaking installation on the both resorts, the creation of a database of the land plots in the resorts and a snowpark construction , as well as the new ski roads, food facilities  and new electronic data boards. He also mentioned  wireless Internet access points in  the winter resorts, night lighting installed in Didveli ski resort, children's amusement park, rehabilitated funiculars, cinemas equipped with 3D technology.

As for Bakuriani, the  Mountain Resort Development Company plans to build a cable line on the historic mountain of  Kokhta and create a water reservoir for artificial snowmaking. He  noted that  a 6-seater chair lift  will be  installed on the Kokhta and  Mitarbi resorts.
