Moscow-based Georgian Businessman to Build a Hotel on the Shaori Lake

The hotel construction on Shaori lake  is expected to start in May of this year. Pipes for drinking water have  been laid,  while electricity installation will be finished  in the near future

 

"Commersant" was told by the governor of Ambrolauri district Malkhaz Lomtadze that the hotel on Shaori lake is being built by  Moscow-based Georgian businessman Tamaz Janelidze.

 

According to Ambrolauri Mayor Rati  Namgaladze, the hotel will be family style. Fast food restaurant will be located on the first floor, on the second -  5-6 rooms. He notes the hotel will be located on 2 000 square meters, the project investment cost is  about $ 150-200 thousand. It is also known that the construction of the hotel will be completed  in  1.5 years.

 

It is known that in the past year in total GEL 64 000 were spent on the water supply project.

 

In total  GEL 150 000 will be allocated from the budget in  2015.

 

Shaori Lake Development Project, included the creation of the resort, was developed in 2008 and GEL 30 000 was spent for this purpose.

 

Shaori reservoir or Shaori lake is  the largest reservoir in Racha-Lechkhumi and  Lower Svaneti region.

 

haori reservoir stretches from south-west to north-east – its  length is 7.1 kilometers, the largest width - 2.7 kilometers. The greatest depth is 14.5 meters, the average depth -  9.8 meters, a total area of ??9.2 km2. The water volume is  90.6 million m3.
