Georgia Ranked 39th In Terms Of Tax Payments’ Facilitation

Georgia is on the 39th position in the “Paying taxes 2012” rating that covers 183 countries. It was released by the World Bank (WB), the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and PriceWaterhouseCooper auditing.

Georgia has improved its position by 22 notches rising to 39th position.Georgia is an unquestioned leader in the region and is ahead with a large difference of neighboring Azerbaijan and Armenia. The latter is on the 153rd place while 77th was awarded to Azerbaijan.

The ranking is led by the Maldives and at the bottom is Venezuela.A list was compiled according to the following facts: mandatory payments for medium-sized business, terms of fulfillment of tax liabilities, the amount of taxes and the tax burden. According to the report, Georgia's medium-sized business pays 4 types of taxes annually. The figures reflect period from May 2010 to May 2011
