Signagi Preparing for Tourist Season

The town of Signagi  is preparing for the tourist season. Infrastructure works are actively underway in the town.

 

According to Signagi governor David Janikashvili, 10 thousand will be allocated  from the local budget to  arrange  the culture park,  5 thousand will be spent on arranging pavements. According to him, the new polyclinic will open next week in the town, where the patients will be served by qualified medical personnel.

 

David Janikashvili says the construction of a new tourist complex will begin in Signagi on the territory of the former "camp site" in the  near  future. It will be completed in  2017 and will include vineyards, wine tasting rooms, restaurants, cafes and a 3-star hotel. According to the governor, the works are carried out by “Songo”  company  belonged to Vano Chkhartishvili which  has the obligation of investing not less than  GEL 2 million.


Signagi governor  also says that  he is closely collaborating with hotels management to prepare the town for a tourist season. The  Tourism  Administration is working on the issue of tourists attraction  and for this purpose  plans to take part in the international exhibitions.

A  tourist season in Signagi  begins  in  May and lasts  till  the end of October.
