"Adjara Group" an operator company of “Holiday Inn” and “Rooms” hotels in Tbilisi is trying to get funds for a hostel opening from EBRD. As the hotels manager Valery Chekheria states "Commersant", the project is being developed and its full implementation requires an investment of 10 million. Therefore, they are searching the funds for this purpose. According to the plan, the hostel should be built near Zaabruken Square and will be mainly designed for students and young people. The night in the 300-400- bed hostel will cost $ 15.
As for "Intercontinental" project carried out by "Adjara Group," it should be opened in the former building of the publishing house. Chekheria says the hotel's opening date remains unchanged and is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2016, however, notes that all the details, the technical equipment and the parts of design are brought from abroad and, therefore, if all goes smoothly, the hotel will open as scheduled. It will be the first luxury 5-star hotel in the country and will consist of 250 rooms.
