"Radisson Telegraph" Hotel to be Opened in Tbilisi
"Commersant"
has learned that "Silk Road Group" decided not to build "Park Inn"
hotel in the former building of the Georgian Post . According to the
company’s representative, " Radisson Telegraph " hotel will be located
on Rustaveli 31 and it can be considered as "Radisson" brand’s
expansion. According to him, the change in the project caused changes
in interior and design due to higher requirements "Radisson" has.
"Silk
Road" claims that at today's market the demand for "Radisson" hotels
exists, in addition, shareholders considered it inappropriate to open
the hotel of the lower segment on Rustaveli Avenue. They also say that,
by the end of the year work on design will be completed, the tender
will be announced and in January- February of the next year active
construction will be launched. The investment volume of the project has
increased, but the company is negotiating regarding funding at this
stage.
"Silk
Road Business Center" signed an agreement with the Rezidor Hotel Group
regarding a 3-star hotel construction in the former building of the
Georgian Post in 2013. The project cost was $ 22 million, the amount
was attracted through "VTB Bank". Park Inn hotel was planned to open
in the third quarter of 2015.
