Estonian PM: We are interested in investment climate of Georgia

Estonia has been and will remain Georgia’s reliable partner and a close ally as the country strives towards the Euro-Atlantic space,” said Estonia's Prime Minister Taavi Roivas as he started his meeting with his Georgian counterpart today in capital Tallinn.
Georgia's Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, who is on a two-day visit to Estonia, attended the meeting at the Estonian PM’s official residence. 

The sides discussed ways to deepen cooperation between the two countries, Georgia’s intentions to assimilate with the European Union (EU) and North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) and the major issues ongoing in the region.

The focus of the meeting was on trade and economic relations, to which Roivas said the Estonian business community was interested in investing in Georgia. 

The officials also spoke about the successful bilateral tourism both countries currently enjoyed. It was also emphasised Estonia had rich experience in terms of electronic governance, said the Georgian PM's press office. 

On another note Garibashvili thanked Roivas for his country’s support for Georgia to become a member of the United Nations Human Rights Committee (UNHRC), which it was granted for the years 2016-2018. 

During the meeting Garibashvili had an opportunity to enjoy the capital city’s views from the official residence balcony.

The Georgian delegation visiting Estonia involved Georgia’s Agriculture Minister Otar Danelia, Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration David Bakrade and Economy Minister Dimitri Kumsishvili. Their visit coincided with the Tbilisoba celebration in Estonia, which celebrated Georgia's capital city. 

While abroad Georgia's Prime Minister is scheduled to hold more meetings with Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves, President of the Estonian Parliament Eiki Nestor and other officials.

The Georgian delegation are due to return home tomorrow, November 3.
