The British newspaper The Daily Telegraph published the rating of Europe's lesser known cities the authors of the survey advise tourists to visit this year. Tbilisi was included in the list as well. The rating is called Cities You Probably Won't Visit (But Should).
The list is drawn up by the travelers who refuse advertised and circulated tourist destinations.
The rating is topped by the Italian city of Bergamo, the publication notes that the tourists will not stay indifferent towards the assessment of the Italian lakes and the beauty.
On the second place is the Spanish city of Vitoria-Gasteiz where the visitors can feel the "spirit" of the country.
The third place is taken by the Portuguese Tavira. Tbilisi is the eighth.
A total of 21 cities are included in the ranking.
The publication says about Tbilisi that the modern style of the beautiful buildings, traditional houses with balconies is what some people call faded splendor.
The Daily Telegraph- quotes famous singer Keti Melua’s words about the fact that this is the historically rich city, where a lot of tourists have not been and that's why it’s worth travelling there.

4. Osieki, Croatia
5. Skopje, Macedonia
6. Umea, Sweden
7. Treviso, Italy
8 Tbilisi, Georgia,
9. Nantes, France
