"Adjara Group" which owns Holiday Inn and Rooms hotels will open a hostel in the capital center. The company’s CEO Valery Chekheria told “Commersant”.
"It will be a cheap hostel, which will be designed for students and backpacker travelers. We want to create the new hub in Tbilisi, where local and foreign young people will be able to see each other.
The hostel, whose name is being specified at this point, will be meant for 350-400 beds. A bed cost will start from $ 12 and will reach a maximum of $ 20. The project cost does not exceed $ 10 million and the company's negotiating with the EBRD on funding for the project.
The hostel is expected to open next summer.
"Adjara Group" owns and manages three hotels - Holiday Inn Tbilisi, Rooms Hotel Tbilisi and Rooms Hotel Kazbegi- owned. In 2016 the company is going to open another two high-class hotels - Intercontinental in Tbilisi and Crowne Plaza hotel in Batumi.
