"Cartu" Fund launches  several  multimillion projects in Zugdidi (a city in the Western Georgian historical province of Samegrelo). Jimsher  Sherozia , the head of the Infrastructure and Economic Development Department of Zugdidi Municipality, told “Commersant”. We are talking about the rugby stadium. The project also includes the construction of the hotel base.

Sherozia says that the  "Cartu" fund has received 20 000 square meters of land from the City Hall of Zugdidi via a  direct purchase. According to him, the Fund will invest a total of $ 5-7 million.

In his words, the construction works will begin in early 2016. The project will be completed in one year.

Sherozia talks about  another multi-million project that will be implemented next year, namely two stadiums  of UEFA four star category. In this regard, the state is going to invest a total of GEL 20 million.

Jimsher  Sherozia also states that next year the construction of Wendy's" restaurant will start. "Wissol Group" plans to invest $ 2 million in the project.

Next year a 5-star, 100-room hotel project will be also launched. In Sherozia’s words,  the auction will be announced after the New Year. According to the City Hall, they will try to bring the international hotel brand.
