A new residential district is planned to be built after the relocation of Tbilisi railway station. The project belongs to "Megobroba Land " company.
The project co-author George Gogitidze says in his interview with radio "Commersant" that it will be a mixed-type project that will include residential houses, commercial spaces and a hotel. He notes the project will be located in the environmentally friendly place of the capital why the construction will be carried out with the use of energy efficient materials. In Gogitidze’s words, the project will be located on the area of 40 thousand square meters.
The Railway Bypass Project was put to a halt after the change of government. However, Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi Irakli Lekvinadze said last month that the project would be carried out in the framework of the general plan of the capital development.
