BDO and Partnership Fund work on Georgia’s Racha region development concept

A state-owned shareholding company Partnership Fund (PF) has completed working on the concept of developing Georgia’s Racha region together with an international network of public accounting, tax and advisory firms, BDO.

After discussing the current concept the sides agreed to make some corrections in it and arrange the second official meeting.

The concept aimed to offer the state recommendations about how to make private sector interested in Racha region.

According to the concept, touristic infrastructure will be developed in Racha region. Roads will be fixed and water, gas and electricity supply will be improved. Tourist information centres will be also arranged.

More specifically, several modern, international standard resorts will be developed in the villages of Racha – Utsera and Shovi – as well as nearby Shaori Lake.

Several three and four start hotels should be built in Racha as well as recreational complexes.

Racha is a highland area in western Georgia, located in the upper Rioni river valley and hemmed in by the Greater Caucasus mountains.
