Thousands of people in the Netherlands have seen breathtaking views of Georgia after the Dutch Public Broadcaster aired a TV show last night of Georgia’s mountain regions.

The roads in Georgia’s remote Svaneti and Tusheti regions featured on the Dutch edition of the popular TV series World's Most Dangerous Roads.

Two Dutch celebrities were filmed as they journeyed by a 4×4 vehicle along roads in Georgia considered among the world's most dangerous.

They started in capital Tbilisi and drove several hours into the mountains. Some sections of the mountain roads were extremely narrow and on the edge of a cliff. Other times the road disappeared and the visitors drove through water.

During their journey the pair witnessed amazing views of Georgian landscape, mountain rivers and green fields full of sheep. They also met locals and attempted to sing Georgian folk songs with them.

Other viewers who didn’t see the program on TV watched it later online. Since the screening last night the video has gained more than 33,000 views.

This was not the first time Georgia was filmed for the World’s Most Dangerous Roads program. In 2013 the BBC broadcast an episode for the United Kingdom version of the program.
