Government of Georgia launches a new  “Host in Georgia” program.

According to Minister of Economy Dimitri Kumsishvili ,  a new component of the “Produce in Georgia’ program will promote development of the  hotel industry. 

The component presentation was held at the Radisson Blue Iveria hotel yesterday. 

Kumsishvili said  that the companies and businessmen who would  develop the hotels business  in the country would  be able to receive co-sponsorship from the government in terms of the loan credit taken in commercial banks. 

In  Kumsishvili’s words,  the project applies not only to the new hotels but those that already operate and want to expand. The government will also encourage   the international brands. 

More than 180 000 jobs have been created in  the tourism industry, the Minister pointed out.
