A recreational zone will be arranged on the area adjacent to “Radisson Blu” hotel in Tbilisi.
According to "Silk Road Group" which owns the area, a closed competition for arrangement of the territory was held at the end of 2015 in which, at the invitation of the group, a number of foreign and Georgian architecture companies took part.
The sketches presented by the architectural studio "Graft Architects" won the competition as their view was declared the most interesting and admissible.The company says that the purpose of the competition was to arrange a public recreation area on the siteof parking in front of the hotel.
It is planned to work on improving the project jointly with the author of the project as well as on drafting the general plan in close cooperation with various experts and architectural department of the mayor’s offfice.
At this stage the project completion dates and the amount of investment are not specified.
GRAFT company notes at its website that the renewed Rose Square will connect different spaces with one another, including recreation and entertainment zones.
