A 3 - star Hotel and the Largest Swimming Complex in Georgia Being Built in Rustavi

A huge swimming complex is being built in Rustavi (a city in the southeast of Georgia, situated 25 km southeast of the capital Tbilisi).

According to the City Hall press office, the pool is being built on the base of the abolished “Argo" swimming pool and amenities and facing works are currently underway.

As the City Hall explained, the swimming pool would meet international standard where the tribunes meant for 300 spectators, billiards gym, showers and other additional infrastructure are planned to be arranged.

The construction will be completed this summer. In addition, the pool of 33 meters long and 22 meters wide will be the only swimming pool in Georgia which will host international water polo tournaments.

The funds for construction were allocated from Georgian President’s Fund, the investment cost of the project amounts to 1 million GEL.

There is another novelty in the city:“Grand Vejini" company is building a 3 star hotel at the city entrance. According to the City Hall, the hotel will be 9 - storey building where 70 rooms will be located. They also reported that 100 local residents had been employed while after the construction was completed another 200 citizens would find jobs.

The investment cost of the projects makes 2 million USD.
